Your account’s Crypto Wallet

I used MagicLink / I am a new user

If you have used Magic Link then you would have created a new crypto wallet automatically, you will not need to connect any existing crypto wallets you have to the app.

I used MagicLink but want to move my assets to my own wallet

The best way to do that will be to export your private key from MagicLink and import it into Metamask so you can use the same wallet you have in the app in Metamask as well. To know how to export your private key please see:

The easiest way to see the contents of your wallet is either by logging in directly to the Black Market, or exporting your private key and importing into Metamask/Rainbow.

I used MagicLink how do I gain access to the Wallet created / export my private key?

Simply go to: https://reveal.magic.link/defy Log in with the same email or media account you used for MagicLink and follow the steps to see your private key. The key can then be imported into Metamask. If you do not have your own Crypto Wallet please see below.

How to create my own Crypto Wallet?

There are several crypto wallets available. It is best to do your own research, but one of the most popular is Metamask, which can be acquired from Metamask.io. If you prefer not to use Metamask, you can use any ERC-20 wallet.

I want to use my own personal crypto wallet to play the app

From the 31st of March 2023, new users will not be able to use their own wallet and a new wallet will be automatically created upon signing up. If you want to gain access to the wallet please check here.

I have problems connecting my wallet (Alpha / Beta users only)

I want to change my Wallet

After the Public Beta Launch it will not be possible to change the wallet connected to your account in the app. However you will still be able to use the link: https://connect.defylabs.xyz/ to disconnect your wallet and reconnect it using a browser to reconnect to another wallet.

Cannot connect to the MetaMask wallet or have 404 Error

Please pick and try following the steps below:

Option 1 - I have computer with the same wallet (suitable with cold wallets)
  1. On you computer please go to https://connect.defylabs.xyz/.
  2. Sign in with the account which you have partially set up on the DEFY app already.
  3. Connect with your wallet and follow the prompts.
  4. After you see that your wallet is connected you can reload the app.

Option 2 - I only have a mobile device with the wallet
  1. On you computer please go to https://connect.defylabs.xyz/.
  2. Sign in with the account which you have partially set up on the DEFY app already.
  3. Connect with your wallet and follow the prompts.
  4. After you see that your wallet is connected you can reload the app.

When connecting to MetaMask the App store pops up

Please pick and try following the steps below:

Option 1 - I have computer with the same wallet (suitable with cold wallets)

  2. Sign in with the same account which you have set up on the DEFY app already.
  3. Connect with your wallet and follow the prompts.
  4. After you see that your wallet is connected you can reload the app.

Option 2 - I only have a mobile device with the wallet
  1. Please make sure the DEFY app closed.
  2. Log out of your wallet.
  3. Reopen the DEFY app and retry to link the wallet.
  4. Failing this if possible try the https://connect.defylabs.xyz/ link or try an alternative wallet.
I have a cold wallet

Please try following the steps below:

  1. On you computer please go to https://connect.defylabs.xyz/.
  2. Sign in with the same account which you have set up on the DEFY app already.
  3. Connect with your wallet and follow the prompts.
  4. After you see that your wallet is connected you can reload the app.

Mask/s not being displayed in game after connecting wallet

Please pick and try following the steps below:

Option 1 - For New Players
  1. Please make sure your Mask is in the wallet connected to the DEFY app.
  2. If your Mask/s are not displayed after setting up your account please wait 1-2 hours as masks are synced in the app every hour.

Option 2 - For Existing Players
  1. Please make sure your Mask is in the correct wallet connected to the DEFY app.
  2. Load the DEFY app.
  3. On the home screen click on the Mask you already have displayed.
  4. Click Refresh Masks From Wallet button.
  5. This should now display any Mask you added into your wallet.
